I was pretty much unaware of many of these groups when I started a meetup on new media & web 2.0 a few months ago. Shortly after I connected with NextDC and the result was some great events (and more on the way). Also, the NextDC mission statement was improved a few days ago based on some members conversations earlier this month. Nice post.
